Using the SOS Button

To ensure the safety of Taxify rides, we have added an SOS button to the driver application. The SOS button is for medical or security emergencies, where you, a rider or a road user is in immediate danger.

When you press the button, you'll be instantly connected to Namola, our safety response partner. Namola receives the following details about a driver-partner:

  • Driver’s name and surname
  • Driver’s mobile number
  • Driver’s location
  • Vehicle details (make, model, license plate)

Namola will call the driver back immediately to confirm incident details and engage the right emergency responders. Please answer the phone as soon as possible.

What qualifies as an SOS emergency?

Examples of medical emergencies include injuries from road accidents, anyone who is unconscious, having trouble breathing, or anyone who is seriously bleeding.

Examples of security emergencies include life-threatening situations while driving, being stranded in an unsafe location with a broken vehicle, attempted vehicle hijack or any form of violence or attack.


To activate the SOS button:

  • Press and hold for 3 seconds
  • Namola and Taxify will be also notified of the incident and will handle the case as a matter of high priority

Note: Please use this button only when you or your rider are in immediate danger and require an emergency response. Misuse of this button is strongly discouraged.
