Collecting and Processing Personal Data

To use Bolt services, some of your personal data will need to be processed. When installing and using Bolt app, you agree with our General Terms and Conditions and give your consent for collecting and processing your data as specified in Art.6, 1 (b) of General Data Protection Regulation.

Data that is collected and processed include:

  • Name, phone number, and email address
  • Your geolocation, time and destination of a journey
  • Payment information
  • Information about disputes
  • Identification data of the device on which the Bolt app has been installed

We process personal data for the purpose of connecting you with drivers and help you move around cities more efficiently. Moreover, providing high-quality service, giving recommendations about most efficient routes for your trips, processing payments for your trips, informing you about updates and communicating with you to solve any disputes requires processing the data mentioned above.

Who is the data shared with?

Your data (name, geolocation and phone number in some countries) is revealed only to a driver who is registered on Bolt platform and only during the time of providing transportation service. After your trip ends, only your name and in some countries phone number will remain visible for 24 hours in case there is a need to resolve any issues such as returning a lost item.

The data on the feedback and rating you give to drivers is not disclosed.
