Unlocking and Starting a Ride

To see the available e-bikes and their location, open the app and switch to the Bolt E-bikes view either by tapping an icon in the top right corner or going to the E-bike tab in the main menu.

Unlocking an e-bike and starting the ride is easy:

  • Find an available e-bike close to you
  • Click on Scan in the app
  • Scan the QR code on the e-bike or enter the e-bike ID manually
  • Start your ride!

You can also reserve any of the available e-bikes by clicking on its symbol on the map and choosing Reserve. You will then see the pricing rate and the maximum duration for which the e-bike could be reserved for your trip.

Note:

  • To find more guidelines on how to ride an e-bike, click on the shield icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to open Safety Toolkit and select How to ride
  • If you have any problem while unlocking the e-bike or an e-bike is in a bad condition, please use the Report button to contact our Support team.
