To regulate support and operational costs, Bolt has introduced a booking fee of 5% of your trip cost added to your final price as shown in the receipt received after taking a ride.
This fee applies to both cash and in-app (card) payment trips.
Here's an example of how it works:
If your trip cost is KES40, a booking fee of 5% will be added to your bill – this is only a KES2 increase that can be viewed on your receipt.
The reason we implemented the booking fee
